# Safety rules

Before you go, stamp the following basics into your mind:

{% hint style="danger" %}

* **NEVER share your seed phrase**\
  \&#xNAN;*Even if someone is saying he/she is from DeDust team.*

* **NEVER lose your seed phrase**\
  \&#xNAN;*In* [*DeFi*](#user-content-fn-1)[^1] *nobody's able to help you reach your funds.*

* **NEVER connect your wallet to untrusted platforms or bots / miniapps**\
  \&#xNAN;*Even if it looks completely the same as origins or was shared to you by someone impersonating DeDust team. Always double-check.*
  {% endhint %}

{% hint style="warning" %}

* Carefully store your seed phrase and make sure to have at least one its backup, not to lose it.
* 'Not your keys — not your crypto'. Using custodial cryptowallets, you risk to lose access to your funds.
* Use anti-virus software on your device, only official versions and up to date wallet apps.
* Always DYOR[^2]. Only you are responsible for your funds and it's only up to you how you treat them.
* With more power comes more responsibility.\
  The whole crypto is **RISK**.
  {% endhint %}

{% hint style="success" %}

* Always refer to this guide and only to official socials/contacts of DeDust team.
* Work out a habbit to visit this page from time to time to be informed about new known scams.
* First think (and ask) — act after.
  {% endhint %}
