Staking

Staking involves locking up funds in a decentralized protocol. In return, stakers receive yields either in the form of additional tokens or through an increase in the value of their staked tokens.

On May 2nd, we released the staking of our native token. The key feature of this staking is the source of funds — they are not taken from the treasury or issued: we convert swap fees into $SCALE and distribute it among stakers.

Thanks to this innovation, $SCALE has obtained the long-awaited utility, and a deep connection between the ecosystem, the protocol, and the token has been established:

- New users come to the ecosystem and trade tokens; - The more new users come, the more trading volume they generate; - This volume then transfers into swap fees, which fuels $SCALE staking; - This way, the token grows with the popularity of the whole ecosystem.
